The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is participating in the 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair, held from 14 to 23 May 2026 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, as part of its efforts to enhance public awareness of the Ministry’s role and support an environment that fosters creativity and innovation in the State of Qatar.

Through its pavilion at the exhibition, the Ministry highlights the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and their role in supporting authors, innovators, and creators, while promoting a culture of respect for intellectual and literary rights in a way that encourages knowledge production and creativity and strengthens an innovation-driven environment.

The Ministry’s pavilion also provides an overview of the mechanisms and procedures related to the protection of intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, and patents, in addition to introducing the related services and procedures.

The pavilion features a range of educational, interactive, and entertainment activities designed for children, aimed at raising awareness of the importance of innovation and creativity through engaging and accessible approaches, contributing to instilling a culture of respect for intellectual property rights among future generations.

The pavilion also showcases a number of laws and regulations governing the protection of intellectual property rights and raises awareness of what writers, authors, and creators should consider when investing in their intellectual output and transforming it into a sustainable project and investment, in addition to matters related to commercial registration and business licensing.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry welcomes all visitors to the Doha International Book Fair to visit its pavilion and learn more about the services, initiatives, and awareness activities it offers in the field of intellectual property protection and in supporting an environment of innovation and creativity.
