Functions

1- Preparing working papers related to the ministry’s activities for dissemination across local, regional and international conferences, seminars and meetings in coordination with the concerned administrative units and competent authorities.

2- Making the necessary preparations to attend conferences, meetings, joint working committees and technical sessions held by regional and international trade organizations and industrial bodies to which Qatar is a party

3- Preparing, in coordination with competent administrative units, reports requested by regional and international organizations and bodies regarding the Ministry’s activities

4- Evaluating and following up on the implementation of recommendations by regional and international organizations and bodies with regard to the ministry’s activities, in coordination with competent authorities.

5- Studying and following up on the implementation of WTO commitments, resolutions, and recommendations and preparing the necessary reports on the organization’s activities, in coordination with relevant authorities

6- Preparing, in coordination with competent authorities, the necessary reports on the contribution of regional and international organizations and bodies to the ministry’s various activities

7- Following up, in coordination with competent authorities, on Qatar’s payment of its financial contributions to international organizations operating in the ministry’s field and to which Qatar is a party

8- Assessing measures to bolster Qatar’s role in commercial and industrial fields in collaboration with regional and international organizations and bodies

9- Collecting and disseminating information and research issued by local, regional and international trade and industrial bodies and organizations

10- Participating, in coordination with the concerned administrative units and competent authorities, in drafting commercial and industrial agreements that fall under the Ministry’s prerogatives

11- Coordinating with the administrative units in charge of drafting economic, commercial and industrial agreements that fall under the ministry’s prerogatives as well as participating in related meetings and committees

12- Coordinating with the concerned administrative units to prepare the necessary working papers for the country’s negotiating delegation.

13- Translating documents, books, scientific research and foreign correspondence related to the ministry’s specializations.
